Around the Internet 9.11.15

September 11, 2015
  1. In honor of all rescue workers who helped during 9/11, including the furry ones. Here’s a video that will give you all the feels. The last known living 9/11 Search and Rescue dog was celebrated with a dream birthday.
  2. I was lucky enough to snag tickets to An American In Paris for Broadway Week and saw it last night. It was completely amazing with some seriously awe-inspiring lighting/set design.

  3. These crazy Jets stadium food options will have all you football fanatics drooling and reaching for the Tums simultaneously.
  4. I spent Labor Day Weekend helping my bestie, Gabbi, move into her very own apartment. And lucky for me, she had an entire SundayFunday planned for us! Including a delicious brunch, some rooftop dancing at Nellie’s and a stop at the one and only, Ben’s Chili Bowl DC.

  5. Having (and keeping) a full-time job, developing and working on side-projects or businesses and still finding time to spend time with family and friends can be tough. Here’s some advice on getting more done without working longer hours.
  6. We’re almost halfway through September which means it’s time to embrace those last days of summer. Last night I was already feeling a little bit of fall in the air. One thing still on my warm weather bucket list is taking a little tour or jaunt around NYC on a bike. Thankfully, NYC Dept. of Transportation released a bike map so I guess I don’t have much of an excuse to give it a go.
  7. Speaking of summer almost being over… my wedding is now just 3 months away! I can’t believe we’re almost there. For anyone who doesn’t know, I’m not really one for gushing about my wedding plans every chance I get. Thank god for my wedding coordinator and The Knot for having the answers to all of my questions. But I am looking forward to the partaaaaaayyy.

  8. A good friend of mine recently found a bar that has all the trivia. I know, you’re probably thinking yea, they have some trivia. No. They have ALL the trivia. I’m so pumped to flex my pop-culture obscure knowledge next week. Now let’s just hope the creators of the Gilmore Girls show up like they did for these lucky trivians.
  9. Creator published a cool look at how to get a job as a social media influencer and included plenty of tips from savy peeps who make their living being social media savvy. Check it out.
  10. And finally, a little word of hustle wisdom to start your weekend: At a startup or small business, you have to be flexible. Identify what needs to be and take the initiative, don’t wait for someone else! You got the power girl!
