These days I’m performing a balancing act between growing my side hustle and enjoying summer with all of the activities and fun that goes along with it. I usually struggle most during this time of year to find time to do everything I want to do. It seems like every weekend there is are activities with friends and family so I have to make sure I am even more efficient. It’s important to me that I don’t let social activities slow down my hustle, work doesn’t stop just because the weather is nice!
These Days I’m…
I’m finally reading The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing. I feel like everyone’s mom or aunt got them this book for Christmas two years ago (at least mine did) and I’ve heard great things about it. I am definitely one of those people who can’t focus in a messy room. I’m generally a tidy person but I feel like I’m always fighting a losing battle to keep my apartment clean! I’m hoping this book will give me some wise Japanese insight to keep my apartment tidy and all zen like. Check out what else I’m reading on Goodreads and Pinterest.
Ok, let’s talk about Handmaid’s Tale and how I’m completely OBSESSED. I love watching TV and movies but this one has been at the top of my to-watch list every week. Season one just ended so now is the perfect time to binge it. Bonus is that it’s based on a fantastic book by Margaret Atwood which I also highly recommend!
We took a trip out to North Fork, LI for the weekend and tried some amazing wines and delicious farm fresh foods. For anyone in New York it’s a great short trip for a weekend away! There are a ton of vineyards and wineries that go through a couple of adorable small towns. Plus for anyone who isn’t a big fan of wine or champagne, there are also a few newer breweries in the area and even a couple of distilleries. It’s very casual and you get to learn a lot about how each wine is produced and the varietals of grape that they use. Educational and delicious? I’ll take it.
What are you up to these days?
